Since joining Boston Metal in 2017 as employee #6, Tadeu has led the company through massive growth, oversubscribed funding rounds, significant scientific developments and the opening of Boston Metal do Brasil. 

He brings nearly 50 years of metals industry experience and deep expertise in global strategy, technology development and customer-focused growth. Tadeu has worked with niobium for 40 years; during his nearly three decades at CBMM (10 of those as CEO), he grew revenue from $100M to over $2B and led an 800% increase in the global niobium market. Tadeu holds a bachelor’s and master’s in metallurgical engineering from Escola Politécnica da USP and an MBA from University of Pittsburgh Katz Graduate School of Business. 

Tadeu is also a metallurgical engineer, an invited lecturer for the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at MIT, a University of Pittsburgh Legacy Laureate, the lead independent director at Ivanhoe Mines and an advisory board member at Brigham Women’s Heart and Vascular Center. 

Fernanda oversees the administration of Boston Metal, including human resources, financial operations, IT, risk management, supply chain, compliance and legal affairs. She brings over 20 years of executive experience in these fields as well as in investor relations and government relations in the metals and mining industry.

She started her career working as tax advisor at PwC where she provided services to a range of global enterprises. Fernanda holds a bachelor’s in law, a master’s in corporate law from Ibmec and a master’s in business law from Fundação Getulio Vargas.

Rodolfo leads Boston Metal’s technology efforts, including R&D, engineering, operations & anode development. He joined Boston Metal in 2022 as the Director of Anode Development & Manufacturing, where he coordinated the efforts of our R&D, engineering and supply chain teams on prototyping, scaling up and manufacturing the anodes for our MOE Steel program.

He has extensive global experience in operations, process engineering, R&D and materials science in the mining and metals industry. Prior to joining Boston Metal, Rodolfo held multiple roles at global niobium player CBMM. In addition to an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh, he earned a metallurgical engineering undergraduate degree from the University of São Paulo.

Adam joined Boston Metal as one of the earliest employees and has subsequently raised over $400M in equity, developed partnerships with global industry leaders such as ArcelorMittal and BMW, and earned countless awards for the company, including 2023 North America Company of the Year from the Cleantech Group. Adam excels at market research and leads Boston Metal’s business development and corporate communications activities.

Prior to Boston Metal, he led global development at several utility-scale energy storage companies. Adam holds a bachelor’s in engineering from the University of Connecticut and a PhD in engineering and innovation from Dartmouth College.

Antonio leads Boston Metal do Brasil, our subsidiary focused on recovering critical metals from mining waste.

He is a senior engineer in electrical engineering, microelectronics and telecommunications, with a degree from the University of São Paulo (USP) and an MBA from IBMEC.

With more than two decades of experience, he has held administrative and technical roles at Motorola, Anixter, Sprint/T-Mobile and Scopus Tecnologia (Bradesco Group), as well as the Brazilian Federal Revenue Service. His career has been marked by strong leadership in developing high-performing internal and external teams that deliver quality products and services.

Rishi leads our efforts to develop, engineer and control the Molten Oxide Electrolysis (MOE) platform technology we are bringing to market. Since joining Boston Metal in 2023 he has applied his background in electrochemistry to improve pilot-scale performance and testing capabilities for the development of our inert and carbon anode MOE processes. Rishi holds a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Cornell University and a PhD in inorganic chemistry from Yale University.

When Natalie joined Boston Metal in 2018, she led the finance and administration teams at Boston Metal where she oversaw the finance and human resource functions of the company through their first phase of growth. In 2022 when the company determined it needed full-time human resource support, Natalie accepted the challenge and moved into the role of VP of People, Culture & Diversity. In this role, she supports the business in its current expansion by implementing new people-centric initiatives and continuing to develop the workplace culture.

As Director of Modeling, Frederik leads a team focused on thermal and electrical modeling of MOE cells, informing their design and operation with multiphysics simulations validated by experimental data. Prior to joining Boston Metal in 2022, Frederik worked in R&D at a clean-tech start-up and as a post-doctoral researcher in interfacial fluid mechanics at Boston University. He holds a bachelor’s degree in physics and mathematics from Williams College and a PhD in mechanical and aerospace engineering from Princeton University.

Dawn has led Boston Metal’s global communications efforts since joining the company in 2021. She oversees teams in the United States and Brazil that tell the compelling story of Boston Metal and manage the brand. Her unique set of skills was honed over decades in the metals business where she launched digital and offline communications programs and ESG initiatives for global industry leaders in Brazil, China and the U.S. With undergraduate, graduate and specialized degrees in the social sciences, Dawn brings a comprehensive perspective to her work promoting Boston Metal’s sustainable, impactful technology.

Adriano Pereira is a seasoned finance executive with over 15 years of experience leading teams and finance departments, including five years as a CFO in the U.S. He has worked on business development and M&A (sell-side and buy-side) transactions ranging from $100M to $1B, as well as accounting, corporate finance, FP&A, debt financing and regulatory compliance. Adriano has extensive experience in the U.S., Brazil and several other Latin American countries. He holds an MBA with honors from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, a master’s in economics from Insper (Brazil) and a bachelor’s in mechatronics engineering from PUC-PR (Brazil).

Luciana leads the legal, investor relations, corporate governance, risk management and compliance efforts at Boston Metal in the U.S. and Brazil. She has a background in international economic law and policy, having attended the University of Barcelona and the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo. Her doctorate, completed with Fulbright and CAPES scholarships at the American University Washington College of Law, focused on research into the impacts of anti-corruption laws. Luciana brings experience in data analytics, artificial intelligence and international trade and compliance issues. She is certified in compliance by the Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics and as a Board Member.

As Director of Research & Development, Ravi works with an outstanding team of scientists and engineers to push the boundaries of materials science and determine the processes needed to advance our state-of-the-art Molten Oxide Electrolysis (MOE) platform technology. He joined Boston Metal in June 2024 as an Alloy Development Manager working on the Anode Development Team to improve the performance of inert anodes in MOE.

He brings 10+ years of experience from three startups, solving problems in a range of industries including coatings for architectural exteriors, reducing ice accretion, consumer goods packaging, cosmetic production tank yield losses and redesigning batteries to prevent ingestion injuries in children. In 2011, Ravi graduated with a PhD in materials science and engineering from the University of Florida and he holds a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from SVCE, Anna University, Chennai, India.

As Director of Critical Metals, Daniel capitalizes on the immense potential of Boston Metal’s MOE technology to recover critical metals from waste by developing and executing upon global opportunities.

In 2022, Daniel joined Boston Metal’s inert anode team, where he contributed to significant improvements in the performance and manufacturing process of inert anodes, the centerpiece of MOE green steel technology. Daniel holds a bachelor’s degree in metallurgical engineering from the Colorado School of Mines.
